Rooted in the Congregational tradition, Pilgrim stresses the freedom of each person to hear God speak and to see God acting in his or her life. As people of faith, we stand in solidarity with the whole of creation, praying and working for justice and peace. On February 25th, we are pleased to conclude our recognition of Black History Month with a gospel music concert featuring Grammy, Stellar, and Dove Award winner, DARIUS BROOKS at 4 pm. Darius Brooks, a man who has been one of Gospel's greatest driving and creative forces, may not be recognized by his name alone, but by his unprecedented gift behind the scenes of some of gospel's biggest songs and stars. He drew widespread affection for his release of "Your Will" along with his performance and nomination at the 19th Annual Stellar Awards.

Bobby Jo Valentine in Concert

  • Saturday, March 3, 2018
  • 7:00 PM  9:30 PM

Pilgrim's Youth Ministry and our LGBTQ & Allies group are sponsoring this concert featuring Bobby Jo on March 3rd at 7pm (doors open at 6:30). Light refreshments will be served during the meet & greet following the concert.

Bobby Jo Valentine is a multi-award-winning singer/songwriter who has a great story to tell. He was named SONGWRITER OF THE YEAR by the West Coast Songwriters Association.  So you know his music is good!

However it is his storytelling and sharing of his personal experiences that is especially moving. You will be touched and uplifted by his messages of inclusion and optimism, even in the face of prejudice and tragedy.

This concert is for everybody, including youth from 13 to 18. We want to make this concert as accessible to as many people as possible, so we have no set admission price.  However we're also hosting it in the more intimate setting of our church parlor, so space is limited.  Best bet is to reserve a spot. We're suggesting a donation of $10-20 per person. Or folks can show up and donate what they can at the door!  The point is - please come.  And bring your friends.
